Your contribution to success

How can you, as a consumer, best support reusable systems?

1. Ask your supermarket when wines will be available there in reusable wine bottles
2. Reusable glass bottles return and collect your deposit
   • Do not carelessly dispose of bottles in the environment
   • Flawless reusable glass bottles are too valuable even for the recycling container
3. Do not collect them for too long; instead, return them as soon as they are empty
4. Do not insert foreign objects into the bottle
5. Leave the closures on the bottle (they protect the bottle mouth)
6. Handle bottles carefully without subjecting them to excessive stress

System ramping up!

Our system is under development:

Phase 1: Market launch

You will receive the first bottles from participating winemakers, followed by wholesalers, specialist wine retailers, and independent organic retailers.

You should also encounter the reusable wine bottle at Green Events.

Phase 2: Supermarkets

We are working towards making reusable wine bottles available in one of the major supermarket chains starting in 2028. Consumer demand is also crucial for achieving this.

Return

You can return bottles and crates wherever they are sold!

With the phased expansion of sales channels, we aim in the medium term to also enable returns at supermarket reverse vending machines (Phase 2) – the bottles have been specifically designed for this purpose. This is currently not yet possible.

However, you can return empty bottles at all points of sale. Please note that businesses are only obligated to accept returns in quantities customary for trade. Furthermore, each bottling facility receives individual guidelines from pool management regarding how many bottles should be taken back. If this quota is reached, the business may temporarily suspend bottle returns.
